To celebrate Tweed Artisan Food Weekend 2021, Christine Manfield collaborates with Blue Ginger Picnics for a roving al fresco picnic to give you an insider’s experience of our dynamic region and to showcase the outstanding culinary flavours, culture and collective pride of our regional producers and farmers.

Arrive at Tropical Fruit World for a welcome drink as you take in the food and wine stations set amongst the secret avocado orchard of this fascinating working farm. Each station features a lounging picnic of cosy rugs and plush cushions.

As you rove amongst the trees, tasting local produce from Boon Luck Farm Organics, Shuck Oysters, Salumi Australia, Cheeses Loves You, Bread Social, Kat Harvey Cheese, Tropical Fruit World, Playing with Fire Native Ingredients, Tweed Valley Pecans, Rainforest Foods, Mt Warning Spring Water, with accompanying wines from Baume Fine Wines.

Hear insider stories direct from the producers who’ve created the delicious food that you’re tasting, paired with wines from handpicked small-scale vineyards.

End your afternoon with a sweet treat at the pop-up farm shop where you can create your own food and wine hamper to purchase and take home with you – bring an empty bag.

An ideal opportunity to meet these incredible local artisan producers who’ve come together with Christine Manfield and Blue Ginger Picnics for this food and wine tasting amongst the avocado trees.
